13th September 2021
Dear Parents/ Carers,
We are sure you are joining us in feeling so proud of how the children are settling in. We are thoroughly enjoying getting to know your children and finding out about their interests as part of our 'Who Am I?' topic. This term we have a strong focus on the 'Personal, Social and Emotional' area of the Early Years curriculum in order for your child to feel settled and comfortable in their new learning environment. We will be encouraging them to develop confidence when sharing ideas and talking about their experiences with peers and adults.
You will see examples of your child's learning through 'Wow' moments posted on Tapestry. Please see a member of staff if you are having difficulty with logging in to your account. Information for parents will also gradually be shared on Tapestry this term, including slideshows providing advice about how best you can support your child at home with Funky Fingers and Dough Gym exercises (working on large and small motor movements), Reading, Phonics and Maths. We recommend reading the Reading workshop information as a priority, as we intend sending home first reading books by Friday 17th September.
Please refer to the class Newsletter for Autumn 1 (see below) for reminders about important dates coming up. As a reminder, all children will be in school for the morning and staying for lunch on Friday 17th September until 12pm and then all children will be attending school full time from Monday 20th September unless otherwise agreed with your child's class teacher.
Thank you for your continued support during this time.
Mrs Walter, Mrs Dare and Mrs Nicholson
